About Life Force
A Massachusetts-based nonprofit dedicated to promoting health, safety, and community well-being through evidence-based harm reduction services, overdose prevention, peer support, and public health education.
Our Story
Founded in response to growing public health needs within nightlife, event, and community spaces, Life Force Harm Reduction works to address gaps in traditional service delivery by bringing practical, life-saving resources directly to the places where people gather.
Our programs focus on reducing preventable injury, overdose, and substance-related harms through low-barrier, nonjudgmental services — including overdose prevention education, naloxone distribution and training, fentanyl test distribution and training, drink spike prevention and response, peer support, health and safety outreach, hydration and wellness resources, and referrals to healthcare, recovery, and social service providers.
Meeting people where they are
We recognize that many individuals at risk of overdose, intoxication-related injury, drink spiking, and other preventable harms may not engage with traditional healthcare or harm reduction systems. By meeting people at community events, nightlife venues, festivals, and other public gatherings, we expand access to life-saving information and resources while fostering a culture of safety, connection, and mutual care.
Rooted in partnership
We serve diverse communities throughout Massachusetts and prioritize partnerships with community organizations, public health agencies, event organizers, venue operators, educators, and advocates who share a commitment to evidence-based public health and community safety. Through education, outreach, resource distribution, and peer-led engagement, we strive to create safer environments and reduce preventable harm.
